Habakkuk 2:14

When corporate worship and intercession are beating at the heart of His Church, when loving Jesus together is at the top of our priorities, when we look not to contend for and call in our ways but we gain His perspective by beholding Him in unity, when we lay down for Him being seen by the world (or by the church) to simply minister to His heart - It’s then, I believe, we will see a measure of His glory, on earth, like we long for.

Habakkuk 2:14

‘For the Earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.’

I’ve been saying to God this week ‘Father I’ve seen some of your kingdom in my life, in our community, bits to be celebrated but what feels like a small sliver of the wedding cake you have on offer, a measly portion of the glory you paid for us to enjoy move in and see on this earth.’

Over the course of history there have been mighty moves of God. Moves of God not man. Man didn’t muster it up through works, these have been heaven invading earth moments and they all seemed to have a similar proceeding and central factor. Hungry, humble, poor in spirit, broken, passionate and focused worshippers and intercessors. Standing together in the revelation that it must start and continue with His worship and praise at the very epicentre. Day and night.

This isn’t just a good idea but it’s God’s command through David (2 Chr. 29:25; 35:4, 15; Ezra 3:10; Neh. 12:45). David, Solomon, Jehosophat, Jehoiada, Hezekiah, Josiah, Zerubbabel, Ezra and Nehemiah all followed His command and saw mighty revivals as they put back at the centre what so often humanity abandons.

This starting place is so joyously life giving, the beginning is exactly what we were made to do and will be doing for eternity. When this is in place, oh boy!! I am hungry to experience and taste all He has for this nation but I am more and more convicted we won’t see the full measure any other way. It’s tried and it’s tested. It’s only through Him and He has laid out in His Word how. He is looking for those after His own heart who will prepare a place for Him before anything else. Who will make a place and a space for His children to love Him together with all they’ve got. Many expressions, vast creativity, overflow of love and honour and then ...... and then......but I have a feeling we won’t be concerned with or unsure of how to go about the ‘and then’ as it will be already happening from a mighty overflow.

May He be worshipped on earth with the worship He is worthy of.

May He be worshipped on earth as it is in heaven.

Amos 9:11

I will restore David’s fallen shelter - I will repair it’s broken walls and restore it’s ruins and will rebuild it as it used to be.

Acts 15:16

“After this I will return and rebuild David’s fallen tent. It’s ruins I will rebuild and I will restore it,”
