Isaiah 30:32

When you are tempted to feel powerless like there is nothing you can do, no impact you are having or could possibly have on the things of heaven and earth. That the calling you sense on your life is unachievable. All those prophetic words over you might as well have never been said because there is no fight in you left, there are 3 verses for us to remember together this morning.

The first is for us to remind ourselves the battle is NEVER ever rooted on earth.

Ephesians 6:12

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

The battle is only ever rooted in the heavenly realms and God isn’t distant from this or us. He is closer than your own breathe and is singing His song of delight over you. The song He was singing even as He dreamt you up, before you were in the womb, as you implanted in your mothers womb God was singing your song. It’s the same song He is singing over you now and it’s Him who fights for you, not the others way around.

The way Jesus made at the cross can never be obstructed.

If the enemy can persuade us we have to fight for the Father’s connection and approval we can be worn out, working for something that was always there. When we believe, even if we can’t yet comprehend that He is delighted in us, we can breath deep and say to the Father ‘fight for me?’.

‘Release Your victory in my health, Your victory in my marriage, Your victory for my kids, Your victory for that friendship, Your victory for my community, Your victory for local businesses, Your victory for our county, Your victory for our nation, for our globe. Your victory for us in this COVID situation.....’

There is one absolutely fundermental way He has created for us to connect and co-labour with Him in the release and reality of His kingdom and victory.

Isaiah 30:32

Every stroke the LORD lays on them with his punishing club will be to the music of timbrels and harps, as he fights them in battle with the blows of his arm.

Isaiah 42:10 & 13

10 Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them 13 The Lord will march out like a champion, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.

He releases His mighty arm to the sound of your instrument, He marches out, stirs up His zeal, raises and battle cry and triumphs to the soundtrack of your new song. Your tehillah praise.

In the face of the earthly reality we may find ourselves in this morn can I encourage you to raise up a shout, of even just whisper His Name - Jesus!

Declare or sing the Name that is loaded with every bit of God’s power, victory and character. Pick up your bible, head to 1 Chronicles 16:8 - 36 and read it out loud over the heavenlies and over the earth.

Let’s load our praise with The Name, The Word and The Blood. These are the elements that carry weight in the spiritual. The songs of intimacy are good connectors but they won’t send the powers and principalities running.

The enemy is working hard to persuade the Church she’s powerless, to get us disarmed and distracted. This is the time to practise the very thing we were made for, the very act we come alive in. As we worship and every bit of us is filled with His life, He says ‘watch what I am going to do now!’.
